Are you what you eat...or how you eat it?
Over the years we hosted lots of people at the Creative Space Centre and saw an incredible range of dietary regimes, and I would put my hand up to having tried quite a few of them myself. I was even vegan for eight hours once, although to this day remain innately suspicious of Quorn.
What became clear was that the energy with you which you "enjoyed" your food was just as important as the food itself. "I would rather eat a burger with love than a salad through fear" became our mantra, and boy did we love those pastries.
It is no mistake that people have blessed their food for centuries, and just a cursory look atEmotos work on the effect of words and vibrational information on the molecular structure of water demonstrates the importance of sentiment when engaged with any activity. I always prefer a pint pulled by a cheerful barman.
This is really important for parents with fussy eaters, as meal times can become a battle ground where no quarter is taken. I can still remember my son Tom's face as I forced another green bean down. The bean was already heavily imprinted with the fear of an anxious parent and stressed child, and any nutritional value was swamped by the inherent message of "you are not OK and this bean is the only path to redemption."
So what is a healthy diet?
I am talking about food because this week I had the pleasure of meeting a really successful therapist.
This guy boasts an amazing client list, is in huge demand and achieves amazing results. Trained in pharmacology, he demonstrates an incredible knowledge of conventional approaches and the bio-chemistry of the body, but addresses most issues with natural remedies and techniques, including acupressure, kinesiology, homeopathy, nutritional guidance and most importantly in his mind sound therapy.
A year ago I was fortunate enough to spend the week with Josh Biggleson who was equally impressive with his knowledge, techniques and results. His use of isopathic remedies, osteopathy and nutritional guidance produces equally incredible results. Oh and by the way Adam, Josh's brother was great with his tuning forks if you wanted a little bit of sound therapy.
I would have no hesitation in recommending either of these to anyone struggling with their health. However, the advice received may prove a little confusing if you visited both.
You would leave one convinced that it is impossible to attain optimum health on a vegetarian diet. You would leave the other convinced that it is impossible to attain optimum health without a vegetarian diet.
who is right?
The confusing answer is that they are both right. Their results support both arguments and conclusions. And I firmly believe that if you visited either you would benefit, despite the obvious contradiction.
So what is going on?
The reductionist world of science and conventional medicine seeks repeatable and predictable linear cause and effect models. Crudely put, take substance X and Y happens. To my mind prescriptive nutritional advice feels the same.
These views would render Emoto's work meaningless. After all, in those models a glass of water is a glass of water. The energetic information carried by the water is irrelevant.
Whoever you go to see and whatever treatment or advice they give the energy and intention with which it is delivered is an important component. Both the therapists above know their protocols are effective and that optimal health is available and this is in part why their methods are so successful, even if their advice is contradictory.
Furthermore their clients come through recommendation based upon past successes which means new clients anticipate positive results, which in itself is a powerful component in well being. Information shared in the environment of optimism is likely to be more beneficial. Belief is important, because just like words with water, thoughts and feelings influence our field. Might as well make those thoughts optimistic!
Is it possible that these guys are fantastic at what they do in spite of their dietary advice?
Makes you wonder.
Go easy, tread lightly, free,
Love
