Exhausted? Try this...

Exhausted? Try this...

"The antidote to exhaustion is not rest. The antidote to exhaustion is to live wholeheartedly".

When we live solely from the mind rather than soulfully from the heart there is little support from the universe.

A common observation I hear is how exhausting this year has been. There has been good reason for that as many, myself included, have worked through some pretty drastic change. One day at a time seems to have been the only option as life overwhelmed ego in the battle for control. In honesty it was never really a contest and it was only ever a delusional mind that thought it was in a battle!

The exhaustion has not only expressed at the level of the individual. At a societal level systems which have supported delusion are looking increasingly tired. The Brexit debate in Britain highlights the confusion and idiocy of ideological argument. Political boundaries are blurred as right wingers and left wingers, despite their mutual revulsion, find themselves united against another idea. I'm not sure about anyone else but I find myself firmly entrenched in the couldn't give a toss camp, or more politely tired of the whole thing camp. Whatever the outcome we will be fine, so long as we just take it one day at a time.

It has been no surprise that as I have stopped trying to control my piece of the universe the feeling of exhaustion has lifted and the more I focus my attention on what is happening in the present moment the more energy I have for life. This was beautifully described in a talk by David Whyte when he recounted an exchange he had with a Franciscan monk. During a particularly trying time of his life he said to his friend
"Talk to me of exhaustion".
The reply was illuminating and made much sense to me
"The antidote to exhaustion is not rest. It is to live wholeheartedly".

Don't you just love a wise monk?

I have in the past described our heart as our truth resonator. When we live solely from the mind rather than soulfully from the heart there is little support from the universe. There is no resonance. When we live and act from the heart we send out a frequency which resonates with the truth, feeding energy back to our heart in the process. The truth is available in reality, in the here and now and can not be found in thought or ideology.

Our resistance to life comes from thinking that things should be different, Thought generates resonance with similar thoughts only, but receive no energy from truth. The truth is too busy being to lend support to beliefs. When we put our heart into something we make it real, we bring it to life and life responds in kind. To sustain a thought you need to harness energy from others, usually through the medium of fear, and fear is the weapon of a choice of the fading paradigm.

If there is one piece of advice that will give you more energy, it is to stop thinking about the rights and wrongs of the present moment. You don't have to like the present moment and as you accept it with an open heart, allowing it's right to be, your energy will not be wasted trying to rearrange what is, after all, a pretty big universe.

The political extremes and endless arguing may continue indefinitely. They are just a reflection of the operation of our individual egoic mind. However, your conscious withdrawal from the polarity games will not only free up your own energy but also remove it from a paradigm which relies on your outrage and fear. This is the shift in consciousness and your power is far greater than you can imagine.

Go easy, tread lightly, stay free,
